Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day has got to be the stupidest thing I've heard of recently (I say recently cause people do a lot of stupid stuff.) An company, a rather large company that helps put mom-and-pop restaurants out of business took a stance, people disagree, it happens all of the time.
This time their stance is a Christian one, fine, that's nice, I have no issues with ANYONE's beliefs one way or the other. However, if you are going to call yourself 'Christan' please make sure you're following your own teachings. Don't lie to people to cover up an embarrassment. And this is where I have an issue with Chick-fil-A, they lied to their customers about the reason the toys were yanked.
The whole thing is stupid, look at yourselves people. You are fighting over a restaurant chain's beliefs. Why? What has this company done for you? Is it helping you in this current economy? Does it feed and clothe your family? (I give you this one if you work for them.) Is it helping pay your bills, keep a roof over your head, help people that lost jobs find them? Or in a time of this economy is it part of the movement that kills small business? They are a large company chain, the same thing that's putting small shops under. Why are you people supporting the very thing that helped screw up this country?
Start thinking about what's really important. Home, family, health, community. Here, where everyone lives. Instead of worrying about a rather well off family worry about the one down the street that has no money, nothing to eat. Be a real Christian, open your doors and hearts to your neighbors and give them the same concern your showing for a business you've never meant.
